Today

Today after a short 4 hour labor baby came at 5:11 AM weighing in at 8 pounds 2 ounces. Baby and Mom are both in good health and feeling great. More pictures and info to come soon.

Almost

I'm so anxious for this little one to come. This is the week, the last week of this pregnancy and I'm hoping it doesn't last until Saturday. Her bed is ready, her clothes are ready, I finally got her some diapers, and my body is definitely ready. The kids sat and talked to her today giving her hugs and kisses and telling her that it's time to come now. Wes told her not to be scared and that he was excited for her to be in our family. He asks me every hour if she is coming now and if he can go to Rose's house now. I am ready to meet her and to hold her little body.

Celebrating Baby

Rose organized a casual little baby shower while we were in Chicago for all of us pregnant ladies, it was fun to hang out and talk about all these sweet little babies to come. Emily made a lemon basil cake, and it was to die for, so yummy! We had another little dessert night get together here in Utah with just us girls, we had fun eating giant sundae's and hanging out without our kids. Thanks to everyone who was a part of these fun parties!

These are the only pictures I managed to get:

Update

This girl is big and beautiful! She is measuring two weeks farther along, has a healthy brain, heart and body, and has some beautiful lips. The ultrasound technician for all of my kids have commented on their lips, here is a cute shot of them. We were able to see her face from a few angles and from what we could see she looks a lot like Mabel. My doctor scheduled me to be induced on Oct 16, a week early, if I don't already go into labor on my own before that. Mae was two weeks early and I'm crossing my fingers that will happen again!

We are back in Utah, and after a stressful week we found a place to rent and are starting to get unpacked. (I am really starting to hate moving, but am getting good at it, please let the next place we move be a home for us for a long time)

The third time

This pregnancy has really surprised me

I suspected I was pregnant because I was dreaming crazy vivid dreams
I felt pretty crumby the first trimester
I swear I was going to have a boy
I started showing really early
I have been craving watermelon and tomatoes, two things that I'm not usually crazy about but have a new appreciation for
Lots of heartburn
Super sore ribs, sometimes I feel like they might be broken
I have been feeling the last month achiness (back, hips etc) starting in the sixth month, what is wrong with me
I initially thought that this one was less active but in the past month I am thinking she might be the feistiest one I have had
I am pretty darn impatient and moody which makes me look forward to a more calm and collected me after this baby comes

plus I'm HUGE and I can prove it. This picture was taken on our anniversary this month and the next one was taken on our anniversary two years ago. There are only 11 days between my due date and the day I had Mae, and there is way more than eleven days growth between these two pictures! I am thinking that either
A: I am just extra big because I have pretty much eaten whatever I have wanted to
B: I am growing an extra large baby because I have pretty much eaten whatever I have wanted to
C: my baby is due much sooner (probably not)

Most likely the answer would be A and B. I just really don't want another 9 pound baby like Wes was. Ahh, panic! Ok, I have my ultrasound scheduled for next week and I will find out more then. This will be my first real doctors apt and I am 30 weeks right now.

We are moving home to Utah in two days, I'm so excited! Although we still don't have a place to live, hopefully we can find something quick, and hopefully we can have a real house before this baby comes, and if not that then before the holidays please.

Number Three

I knew before I found out that Wes was a boy that he was going to be a boy. And I just knew Mabel was going to be a girl. I knew that this baby was going to be a boy. We got our ultrasound on Monday and I was super surprised to find out it is a girl! I am so excited for Wes and Mae to have a little sister and I am starting to dream about this little baby. This will be the first time that girls outnumber the boys. I can't wait!

Time Out

I got myself a babysitter and got out of the house alone today! Our stake had a women's conference and while I was sitting in the opening session I thought I felt my baby move, it was probably nothing I thought, but I felt it again and again throughout the talk. And then through the next class and then when I got home I felt him more and more! What a great mother's day gift! But what am I going to do with three kids! We have an appointment to find out what we are having next week and I am starting to get excited about this pregnancy. Feeling this baby move for the first time just made everything feel very real, its really happening. So sometime near the end of October I am expecting a round little baby boy to pop out, although we will know for sure next week.

When the conference was wrapping up the baby sitter called to say that the computer fell on Mae and she was bleeding and crying and whimpering, so I rushed home. When I walked in the door Mae said "Mommy!" and then went on playing. I guess she got over it pretty quick but she does have a pretty big gash on her nose.

I found this picture of Mae when she was two weeks old, she has changed so much! The second picture is the face Mae makes when you tell her to smile. The third picture is evidence of her hearty appetite, she usually eats much more than Wes and is constantly hungry. I love this girl, she is just getting much too big, I guess it's a good thing we are having another baby soon.

Getting Closer

I think I have been nesting for the past six months at least.
My to do list:
finish blanket, check
bleach Wes' old baby clothes, check
make hair bows, check
find more furniture for nursery, check
finish bassinet (hopefully will be done in a few weeks)
make a blessing dress (this might be a stretch, we will see)
pack for hospital (to do once I'm in labor)
organize storage room (almost there)
have all food storage planned and in order (dreaming)
have all christmas presents purchased and wrapped (another dream)
finish Wes' costume (this week I hope)
get new tires for van (hmm, maybe next week)

Tummy

Ok here I am, at 35 weeks (almost), I'm feeling pretty big and starting to get anxious. My measurements are right on and the baby is looking healthy.

Baby Projects

We decided to get each of our children a framed print by an illustrator for their rooms, Wes has his robots by David Plunkert, and we got this print by Sarah Jane for the nursery. I used some fabric that will be used in the nursery to frame the print and cover this wooden frame, which I will probably put a family photo in or something. Now we just need to actually get a nursery or even a small space for the baby and all her stuff!

Nursery

I would like our baby's room to look like this:

Oh Boy!

It's a Girl! As you can see. Check out the cute profile. The doctor said everything looks healthy and normal and commented on the big lips, (check out the last picture, first nose, then lips, then chin) go Mixa lips!
