Park

We took a walk down to the park to try out the new swings and playground, it was fun and such a nice day, I'm glad spring is here.

Hair Cut

We decided to cut Wes' hair. I guess it was the comments: at a restaurant "is she going to order anything?, oh, he's a boy?" and at the airport "I'm guessing he is a boy but hasn't had a hair cut yet" that convinced me to finally do it. You can't really tell that we cut that much off, just the little curls around his ears and in the back that are gone :( it looks much more clean though.

Spring in California

We had fun on the trampoline, Wes couldn't stop laughing. We went to Mikuni's for sushi, so delicious. It was fun shopping, getting a hair cut and just hanging out and the weather was so nice!

We thought it would be fun to play with Wes on the grass since he hasn't really played on grass before, bad idea. I don't know if he was scared of it or what, but the minute we put him on it he started screaming and if we walked near the grass while we were holding him he would start to cry. By the time we left he was ok to be on the grass if he had shoes on.

Brush

We went to the dentist last week and he told us that Wes needs to be brushing so we got him a toothbrush and taught him how to brush this week. He thinks he is supposed to chew the brush and he always tries to brush our teeth.

I know I know, we only post pictures of Wes, I wish we were going on a really cool vacation or something so you could be more entertained. Until we do, this is all we've got.

Another

I learned how to machine quilt and finished this baby blanket for Natalie in time for her shower. It was fun to do a pink girl quilt this time.

hmm

I bought this cashmere outfit for Wes when I was pregnant. I'm not so sure now that cashmere is the best for baby clothing. I don't know how it would respond to babyfood/pee/poop/spitup and I'm not about to start getting Wes' clothes dry cleaned. I think it's cute on him but John thinks otherwise. Maybe dressing him in disposable clothes would be easier to clean up.

Weekend

We spent the weekend in Idaho with the Petersens. Wes loved playing with the musical apple . . . remember those? Check out Wes' teeth, they are getting long and sharp, as we have found out when he tries to bite us. We didn't get many pictures but we did play MASH! Here is our future life (as told by Tyler):

"John and Jenilyn and their small army of seven children settle their homestead on a farm in upstate New York. John uses the skills he obtained as graphic designer to plant rows of delicious crops, many of which become toppings for pizza, a Petersen clan favorite. Living off the land is a blessing for this large family who earns only a small, $50,000 income. To escape from the rigors of rugged farm life, the Petersens enjoy sailing to Mexico when the winds turn favorable."
