Twins
I took this picture of Mae and remembered that Wes wore this same jacket at about this same age, so I went back and found a picture of him. Do they look alike or what! Actually it's cool to see how they look different too.

Little Sister
Mae just adores Wes. She could just watch him all day long. Pretty much anything he does makes her laugh and if we try to make her laugh doing the same things she is not even impressed. They are the cutest siblings ever.

Dimples!
Here they are, I finally caught a picture with Mae's dimples (kind of), she is getting so big and cute! Lately she has been laughing so much more, sleeps 10 hours at night, and takes at least three naps during the day, I couldn't ask for an easier baby, I love having a girl!

Park
John worked all afternoon on Saturday so I took the kids to the park. Wes loved climbing up to the tall slide all by himself and swinging on the swings. I laughed pretty hard when Wes got caught in the middle of six junior high kids all fighting, Wes was confused at what was happening but he wanted to be in on the fun. I had to go rescue him and pull him out from the bottom of the pile of kids, he was totally getting smashed and sat on.

March thoughts
I really enjoyed the Relief Society lesson last Sunday and I have been thinking about this quote by Joseph Smith ever since:
"Now, in the world, mankind are naturally selfish, ambitious and striving to excel one above another; yet some are willing to build up others as well as themselves."
I am so glad that I have known people who have been willing to build me up while trying to learn and grow themselves. I hope that in my struggle to become more like my Savior that I can be one of those people someday to others. I hope that I can learn to rise above the tendencies of the natural man and see all the people around me in a more positive way.
On a different note; John sometimes plays a computer game called "Call of Duty" and Wes must have picked up on this because he randomly walks around the house saying "Duty Calls" with a sigh.
Yesterday Wes had an imaginary phone call with himself that went like this:

Ha Ha
Wes just made two of his trucks kiss. Sometimes Wes just makes me laugh so hard. I'm glad he is affectionate.
On Saturday we ate pancakes for breakfast (which were very good) and then started cleaning the house. A little while later we found Wes hiding under the table in our room drinking syrup.

Fun and Mischief
Yesterday Mae was having kind of a hard day, just crying a lot, so I had her sitting on my lap while Wes and I played around and did a puzzle and all of a sudden she just started giggling like crazy at everything Wes did, it was the cutest thing in the world. I just about died. It was the first time she had ever really seemed to pay attention to Wes and she just thought he was the funniest thing she had ever seen. I just loved it.
This morning after Wes woke up I went up stairs to make him breakfast and I found him with the whole carton of eggs, each one broken on the floor, the gallon of apple juice in his hands half spilled all over the floor and the fridge and a new package of cream cheese opened and smeared all over his face and big bites missing. He really tries hard to get things himself. He hasn't figured out yet that eggs need to be cooked first. If you have never tried to clean up ten raw eggs off of the floor its nearly impossible, the eggs wont stick to a towel or anything for that matter, they are so slippery.
Last night I made pizza for dinner and before I started to knead the dough I took my ring off so that it wouldn't get dough in it and set it on the counter. I remembered this morning to go and get it off the bar where I left it but it was missing. The kitchen had been cleaned and the cook books put away and all the junk mail thrown away from the bar where I left it. I started to panic and searched all around the kitchen and through all my cook books over and over again and I finally thought to open the garbage can where I saw the junk mail that had been thrown away and I found my ring in the middle of a bunch of garbage. Can you imagine if it would have been thrown away, I think I would have died again, for the second time that day.
It was such a nice day today that we took Wes out into our little backyard and let him enjoy the sun. He brought his pumpkin bucket and gathered rocks and dirt. Good practice for finding easter eggs.

The Kids are Growing
Mae is getting just as cute and chubby as ever, check out those cheeks and legs. And Wes loves playing in the sink lately with water and cups and bowls, it will keep him busy for hours. He pushes the chair up to the sink, opens up the drawer with all the measuring cups in it and gets out his tools and then brings me his apron, and then pretends to eat and drink all kinds of things. He usually chooses to play in the sink or watch Curious George aka "Storage".
We feel like we have been having so much fun lately playing with the kids, having John home more during the day, and spending time with family. We really feel blessed and feel like our life is just where we want it. I love my little family.
