Pillows

I finally covered our pillows. They have been sitting around the house without covers for a while, I like this much better.

Yard

I'm really excited, I just signed up for green waste recycling. Last saturday we pulled out a bunch of shrubs with the nova and a tow rope. Some of the shrubs were too strong for the nova, which somehow isn't surprising, so our neighbor with a monster truck pulled them out. We have more to do this week and then I can start planting and redoing the yard, I have been waiting for this for years. Every time I look out side and see that the giant overgrown unattractive shrubs are gone I get happy, even though our yard looks like a disaster right now. I took pictures but I will save them so I can do a before and after when its all done.

Reading

John and Wes were reading books in bed yesterday morning, I had to get a picture, so sweet.

Robots

February 22

We got these robot prints for Wes' room a little while back and finally hung them up. They are kind of hard to see but I think the one with the triangle head and one eye is my favorite. Wes likes to point to them when I'm putting him down for a nap.

This morning when John was leaving for work Wes totally waved at him, a real wave, it was cute.

John finished putting together a basic portfolio so if you have ever wondered what John actually does all day, check it out. I added his site in the links to the right.

Sugar

I think it was a mistake to give Wes a little taste of the sugar cookies we made. Now he spends most of his time pointing to the cookies and saying 'uhhh?'. For Valentine's we had pink pancakes for breakfast and John made a smoked salmon salad for dinner, yum!

Horsie

My Great Grandpa built this rocking horse for my mom when she was a baby and then my grandparents fixed it up and gave it to me when I was young. When we went home for Christmas my parents gave it to Wes. I can remember when we were all little we usually had about three kids piled on the back rocking together. I learned how to braid by practicing on the horses tail. Wes has just started to figure out how to rock when he is on it, it makes him giggle, he is pretty good at staying on but today he fell off!

Does anyone know a good nutritionist? Let me know, it seems like there are a lot of opinions out there, I have a lot of questions and would love to talk to someone who does it professionally.
