This week I started putting Mae's hair into pigtails, it's finally long enough! She is so darling with her hair up, such a little lady.

Castle Park
A few pics from Castle Park, it is just as fun for adults as it is for kids . . . as you can see.

PS, I am also glad to be back home to my camera, I love it!

Idaho
After Mexico we went to pick up the kids in Idaho after spending a week with Grandma and Grandpa. We all got sick and ended up staying the week to recover! Wes was the only one who didn't get the bug and he wanted everyone to play outside in the snow with him, all we wanted to do was lye in bed and sleep. Rick and Anne were so nice to watch them for the week and the kids had a blast. Rick sent this picture of Wes and his snowman to us while we were in Mexico and it made me miss the kids like crazy, Im so glad we are back and can be parents again. After Idaho we ended up spending another week in Utah which was also unplanned, so our trip ended up being over three weeks! Its good to be back in sunny California.

Myan Ruins
Chichen Itsa:
This place is the most well preserved ruin in the area, it was beautiful. The main temple had all kind of references to the Myan calendar and all of the windows line up on April 6 to light up the inside. There were 2000 pillars which they supposed represented the 2000 stripling warriors (according to a local LDS guide). We wished we would have been able to stay longer and learn more about all the history and symbolism. Isn't Neal so cute?

Coba:
These ruins were way cool, they had them open to climb on (which would never happen in the US) and it was kind of a little scarry. The stairs were pretty steep and a little crumbly and while we were at the top we could see miles and miles, it was so beautiful. Then coming down I was a little nervous. They had these arena type structures where two teams played a game kind of like basketball but the losers would be sacrificed.

Xel-Ha
We went to Xel-Ha for a day while we were in Mexico and it was probably the best part of our trip. We went snorkeling, swam with fish, swam through caves, hiked around, saw manatee, native monkeys and iguanas, ate a lot of delicious Mexican food, went cliff jumping, tried the rope course, and had fun playing with baby Neal. This was my first time snorkeling and I loved it! We could have spent the whole vacation here and loved it. John is already making plans to come back, it was a blast.

Cancun
Our first vacation since our honeymoon! It was such a blast. John earned a trip to Cancun through work which worked out perfectly because we wanted to do something fun to celebrate our five year anniversary. We dropped the kids off in Idaho to spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa and we took off to warm weather, sleeping in, eating all day, playing all day, beautiful scenes and fun with friends. Here are some pictures around our resort and the neighbor resorts and at our beach. The last one is the view from our window. The beach was gorgeous and the sand was powdery white and perfect. We had some windy overcast days at the beginning but it warmed up by the end of the week. We loved the trip but were ready to see the kids and have some home cooked meals by the end of the week. More pictures soon about our fun outings...

Cousins
This was about a month ago... we took the kids outside to play one day when the weather was so nice. It is so fun to be with cousins. And yes, I really need some new jeans.
