Play date

This is what John and Mae do every Monday while I take Wes to his music class. They hang out and play. I always come home and find the cutest pictures on the camera from their fun time together. The tooth fairy also came and brought Mae her first little tooth up on top this week, I could just kiss her cute little cheeks all day long.

Pioneer day

Wes had fun riding is plasma car in the pioneer day parade and we all got to spend a little extra time with our husbands that day.





So this is the face that Wes makes if we ask him to smile for a picture, say a funny phrase, sing a song, or if we get excited about anything or put him on the spot in anyway. He thinks that by closing his eyes he removes himself from the situation, he must have got a little bit of the shy gene from me and John

Georgetown

I think Georgetown has been my favorite part of living in the DC area. It is so beautiful, history rich, and full of fun shopping.

Virginia Beach

We surprised our husbands with a trip to the coast this weekend, we got a hotel, had fun in the sand and swimming in the ocean, it was such a nice break. We are all burnt and tired and ready for a new week, such a fun weekend!

The Things that Summer Brings

We took a fun little trip to Alexandria with Rose and Hill and her friend Robin and saw lots of little shops all along brick sidewalks and charming homes. We found cute little pillowcases for a dollar and I made mine into a cute top for Mae.

Sleepy Head

While we were all running around Sunday morning getting ready for church . . . Mae got a quick nap.

iPotty

We started potty training Wes on Monday and he is doing so well! I would say he is pretty much trained except we haven't really left the house so I'm not sure how to do it all in an unfamiliar place. He is such a fast learner, toddlers are pretty bright. Wes likes to go around feeling if other people are "dry" and then giving them a treat, then I have to apologize and explain why he is trying to feel their underwear. So funny.
