Should Wes grow a goatee?

If...

I needed a new crib, which I don't, mine is just great, then I would want this one made for me. It is so fun looking and shopping for baby stuff again.

Holga Picnic

I love these photos! We got this camera about five years ago and I have completely forgot about it. It's a totally plastic camera with a plastic lens but thats what makes for the great distorted and vibrant pictures. We went up the canyon last weekend and had a picnic and played in the water at Bridal Veil Falls, it was so much fun and I have been waiting to get the pictures back all week. I seriously recommend getting a Holga, they are so cheap and fun, we will have to carry it around along with the other 5 cameras we already have so we can get more fun pictures.

New Activity

I usually put Wes down to play after breakfast and start cleaning or organizing or whatever I need to get done but Wes gets bored pretty quick and starts pulling on my legs and wants some attention. So, I have tried to come up with some fun things to do together that will stimulate his mind. When I was young one of my favorite things to do was to sort pom poms in a muffin tin, pretty simple. So I found these pom poms in the dollar bin at Target and voila! I had hoped Wes would semi sort them somehow but I think he is still a little young for that, he mostly enjoyes putting them in and out of the bowl to the tin and back into the bag. Eventually he started throwing them all around the house so we picked them up and put them away, I think his attention span tops out at around 10 minutes (or less) that is when it's time for something new. I also found some great puzzles in the dollar bins and those are fun too, Wes likes to pound the pieces in once I have helped him get them in the right spot.

Family Time

Last night we taught Wes how to stick cheerios to his tongue, I'm not sure if it was a good idea or not, but it was fun. He didn't master the technique quite like John did but I think he enjoyed watching us and eating cheerios.

Kitchen

Ok here are the photos, it's finally done (almost). It took so much longer than we expected but it looks so good! I thought I could do it myself originally in a weekend and just rough sand and then do a clear coat but the old stain wasn't coming off so John had to spray everything which took about a week and a half (He saved the day). It took justs as long prepping everything and put everything back together. Then I painted the walls while Wes was taking a nap on Wednesday (which went much faster than I thought) and I have been moving everything back in this week. So question: what do I put on top of the cupboards, I feel like it needs something. The only cute option I have seen are Hill's cute cake platters but I don't have a good collection like that, any suggestions? I'm glad it's done and am happy with how it looks.

Good Things

Wes has been having a hard time obeying lately and we have really been working/struggling with him but since we have been back from our trips he has been such a good boy! Today he helped me go around the house and put all the garbage in the trash can and then he picked up all of his toys and put them in the bin. He randomly goes around giving me and John hugs and kisses and he has been listening much better. I think being home and back on schedule makes a big difference. He has learned a ton of new words lately including most farm animal noises and please (which has made a huge difference) but my favorite one has been birdie which he pronounces dirdy, it makes me laugh every time. When we were in Jackson Hole this week in the park Wes chased all the birds around the park saying "Dirdy, dirdy, dirdy!".
