Sneakers

I went to check on Mae while she was taking her nap and this is what I found:



Also, today Wes brought me his shoes and said "go Grampa Mixin's house" I had a good laugh.

Painting Day

Paint + Toddlers = A huge mess + Bathtime

The paint didn't really come off like I was hoping, he still has blue legs, but Wes really had fun.

Frying Pan Farm

We went to this cute little working farm with animals and tractors and everything. Wes and this cute little black sheep made friends very fast and they sat there and followed each other around and kissed and rubbed noses, everyone was oooing and aaahing at how cute they were. I have to say it really was darling. Wes slipped under one of the fences and started to run in a field with sheep and cows and I just about had a heart attack and finally got him back under the fence, he wasn't afraid for a second of any of the animals and was always trying to touch all of them. He thought the turkeys were snakes and was so excited to see the horses that he yelled Horses! Yipee! It was already pretty hot and humid and its only April, not looking forward to more of that. Mae was such a sweetie and just sat in the stroller and watched.

It's so nice

that Mabel sucks her thumb. I think is has saved us hours of staying up trying to rock her to sleep. She just sticks in it once she is tired and out she goes.

A smile

it's hard to get Wes to smile these days when we ask him to, he is usually trying to hard to eat or play or get in trouble, but here is a good one. Today he said he wanted to go home, it was sad, i think moving has thrown him off a little bit and he is taking a while to adjust. I think he likes living in apartments though with all the elevators and stairs, he usually asks to go to the elevators within minutes of waking up everyday. Although, maybe that is because he is sick of our apartment.

Fountains

We have lots of fountains around our place, which will have to do until the pool opens.

Squares

We went to find a park yesterday for the kids to play at so we used the gps system which kept taking us to business parks. We finally found this nice park and the kids had fun on the slides and swings. Wes loved chasing the "squares" all around the park. I don't think he has ever seen squirrels before and he thought they were so funny.
