Fun Tip

You can make your own ring tones from your own songs in itunes. Which is what we just spent the last hour or so doing. Here is how:

1. go to itunes preferences/ advanced / importing.
2. set it to import using "mp3 encoder" and setting: custom
3. set the stereo bit rate to "48 kbps" and sample rate: auto, and channels: mono
4. click ok and then ok (close preferences)

1. select the song you want in itunes and click apple "I" (or right click) get info
2. click options and select the stop time to be 0:30 (this creates a 30 sec track) click ok
3. right click on your song again and select "convert selection to mp3" and it will convert it to a 30 sec mp3 (your original song won't change)
4. drag the song/ring tone to the desk top
5. you might want to change the original song back to the full length track so it will play more than 30 seconds of it

1. turn the blue tooth on in your phone and your computer
2. save your song into your songs folder in your phone

I don't think this works for all phones or all computers. We have razrs and an imac.

Our Week

Last weekend we hung out with Emily and Tyler and Nathan and Chelsea (who are engaged, and we are SO excited for them). We went miniature golfing at an arcade. Check out Wes, he was mesmerized by the flashing lights of the arcade. Then we went back to Emily and Tyler's and had delicious enchiladas and played Rock Band.

I got to spend the afternoon on Monday with Amber and her kids Taesya and Cannon and then we went out to dinner with them when Ben got off work.

Tuesday I had lunch with Rose and our friend Summer from back home who we havent seen in years. It was fun to catch up and talk about baby stories, Summer is due next month.

Saturday we went with Rose and Josh to Teri's wedding reception and then back to their house for a night of Call of Duty for the boys, and story telling for the girls.

Sunday morning we woke up to the news that rose was in the hospital in labor! She had her baby that night so tune into her blog to find out more.

Great Invention

These picture hanging strips are awesome! No holes in your walls, no drilling, or anchors and you can move your pictures around whenever you want. I got them at Home Depot and then hung a bunch of pictures up yesterday. I wish I would have known about these sooner before we drilled huge holes in our plaster walls.

Valentine's

I have been thinking that my house needs a little color and maybe some festive Valentine's charm. We usually don't do much for Valentine's because who needs one day to tell your friends and family that you love them, it should happen everyday right? Any ideas for some fun decor or Valentine's traditions? My only thoughts are red apples and pink foil chocolates, not very innovative.

Goals

January 10

January is all about simplifying and goal making right? My mom gave us girls a book called Absolutely Organized for Christmas. It talks a lot about doing one major chore each day, even if it takes you several hours, that way you aren't worn out by the end of the week from cleaning everyday. Here is my attempt at simplifying my schedule and so far it has worked really well. I went out and bought a new mop and organized my cleaning bucket and shined the house on monday. It was pretty fun, and the best part is that I don't have to clean the house again until next week. I have a few other personal and fitness goals I have made too and I think this schedule will help make time for the rest of them.

More Holiday

We had such a fun trip to California this year. Wes was an angel on the drive home and never complained. We had a fun new years eve with Joel, Natalie, Emily and Tyler. And now we are excited to get back into our routine and work on our goals.
